UV-C-lig het die vermo\u00eb om permanente skade aan 'n wye verskeidenheid hinderlike mikro\u00f6rganismes in water te veroorsaak.<\/p>\n<h6><strong>DIE GETEIKENDE MIKRO-ORGANISME<\/strong><\/h6>\n<p>Elke tipe mikro\u00f6rganisme vereis 'n spesifieke UV-C-stralingsblootstellingtempo om die ontsmettingsproses suksesvol te voltooi. Die geteikende mikro-organisme moet lank genoeg direk aan die UV-C-straling blootgestel word sodat die bestraling die mikro-organisme se selwand kan binnedring. Dit neem egter net sekondes vir UV-C-ligstrale om watergedraagde mikro\u00f6rganismes te deaktiveer deur deur die mikro-organisme se selwand te breek en hul DNA te ontwrig. Dit vernietig dikwels die organisme totaal, of sal ten minste sy voortplantingsvermo\u00eb benadeel.<\/p>\n<h6>UV-C LAMP LEWENSDUUR<\/h6>\n<p>TL-, PL- en T5 UV-C-lampe het 'n gemiddelde lewensduur van 9000 uur (\u00b1 1 jaar). Daarna sal die lamp steeds vir minder as 80% funksioneer en die sterkte is te laag om alge en bakterie\u00eb dood te maak.
